Barrages of information everyday. AI snapping up our daily tasks. We give in to
this with ease. We are all running towards something - aiming and reaching. But in
this congested web of climbing ladders and getting higher than everyone else, do
we really know who we are? Do we really connect with our souls and minds the
way our body needs? Do we truly appreciate our existence and the life that was
given to us? Or do we just practice pseudo-wellness through a trip to the Maldives
and post it on social media with a scrounged up caption, again found with the help
of the internet.
Even wellness practices today have acquired the tags of privilege and luxury, but
Yoga is beyond that and it is time to go back to to the very reason for its practice.
Yoga involves movements of the body in forms that are rich with scientific
reasoning, physical restoration, and a surrender to the natural surroundings. We
must reflect and realign to protect our bodies from slipping into phases of
intellectual decay and physical numbness.
Ira Trivedi, the founder of YogLove, has embraced Yoga beautifully and she
continues to make it accessible for everyone, everyday. Over the years, she has
carefully built a body of work that reflects this philosophy: through her live and
digital classes, she brings the discipline of yoga into everyday life; through her
books, she translates ancient wisdom into accessible, thoughtful language; and
through her curated retreats, she creates spaces for re-alignment, healing, and
stillness. Ira Trivedi nurtures the elemental essence of Yoga and shows that it is not
a performance or a trend but a way of life.

YogLove’s approaching Yoga Retreat is in Bhutan. Any destination allows us to step
out of our banal daily patterns and quiet constrictions that subtly affect our wellbeing,
and to take a journey - a journey that is ultimately of the mind and the body.
A destination like Bhutan has been chosen with intention. Tucked away in the
Himalayas, it epitomises the very spirit of A Yoga Retreat. The country has low
pollution, a culture that brings forth a renewed clarity, and a deep spiritual
reverence for the earth and its energies - all echoing the very principles of Yoga.
The Stay is at Olathang Resort, one of the oldest and most serene properties in Paro
Valley. Amidst pine trees and apple orchards, the the resort’s warm wooden
interiors radiate a sense of calm without trying.
With this in sight, the mind leaves its inhibitions and fully yields to the true calling
of our own body. It is here that Ira steps in, retains this energy and guides you
inward with meditation, pranayama and Yin Yoga. Complementing Yoga, the
mindful treks through Bhutan’s stunning trails, visits to ancient monasteries, and
vegetarian meals - all work together to realign our body with the earth.
This yoga retreat is not an escape but a return to what should be. Ira Trivedi’s
endeavour is a promise of retreating into yourself, with the harmonious discipline
of Yoga.
